Abstract
This study aims to determine whether the application of Wordwall-based interactive media can improve the English reading skills of 4th grade students of SDN 1 Taman Bali and describe the application of learning models with Wordwall-based interactive media that can improve English reading skills in 4th grade students of SDN 1 Taman Bali. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) method with two cycles. The subjects of this research were fourth grade students of SDN 1 Taman Bali as many as 28 students. Data was collected through observation, and tests. The results showed that there was an increase After the Cycle I action, there was an increase in the average score to 68 with a percentage of learning completeness of 67.85%, in Cycle II after improving the strategy, the average score of students increased to 84 with a completeness rate of 89%. These results show that learning with Wordwall media has a significant positive impact.
The application of Wordwall interactive media combined with direct learning model can improve the English reading ability of 4th grade students. This is evidenced by the increase in the average score from cycle I to cycle II. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of wordwall-based media can improve students' ability.
